If convicted of a non-violent crime for which you would normally receive jail time, the Community Work program is an alternative sentence. Because this is an alternative sentencing program, should participants fail to complete the program as directed by the court, an arrest warrant will be issued, and eventually you will again appear before your sentencing judge with the potential of a sentence change of jail time. The following rules apply when you are sentenced under this program:
