Mounted Division

The Livingston County Sheriff Mounted Division has been in existence for many years but was disbanded in 1997 so that it could be reorganized.  This was a slow process due to the building of a new jail and expanding other services.  In July, 2000 the new Mounted Division was officially announced with our members in the Fowlerville 4th of July parade.

Since its beginning, the Mounted Division has provided many services to the citizens of Livingston County.  Assisting Law Enforcement in Search and Rescue operations, crowd control, fingerprinting our youth and many other functions such as patrolling the Fowlerville Fair.

At the present time, there is room for new members.  If you are over 21 years old, a citizen of Michigan and you successfully pass a background check, own or have access to a horse and want to serve your community, you can be a Livingston County Sheriff Mounted Division member.
